Racing at Tacoma R/C RacewayAt Tacoma R/C Raceway we hold racing events 4 times a week. On a race day, practice time is included in the entry fee for racing. During the week we generally run 2 qualifying heat races followed by a final race which are called the mains. On Sunday's we run 3 qualifying heat races and a main event for each class. Vehicles are limited to 2S LiPo batteries or 6 cell NiCad/NiMH batteries for stock classes. Mod classes may also use 7 cell NiCad/NiMH batteries.

Open Practice
The track is open for practice every day until races start. On non-race days the track is open for practice from 10am-6pm. Everyone is welcome to use the track for a $5/hr or $20/day fee.
Weekly Racing Results
Weekly racing results are posted to RC Stats website after each scheduled racing event. This site also contains a searchable database of recent racing results for a few different facilities in the NW. Check us out online at www.tacomarcraceway.liverc.com

Race ClassesNovice ClassNovice class is where new drivers start. This class is generally a mixed vehicle class with no motor restrictions, however stock class vehicles are recommended. As drivers advance in skill and control they are moved in to classes based on the vehicle driven.
Stock BuggyStock buggy is a single vehicle class with motor restrictions. This class is limited to 1/10th scale 2WD buggies. Vehicles are limited to using 17.5 turn brushless motors or stock class brushed motors.
Modified BuggyModified Buggy is a single vehicle class without motor restrictions. This class is limited to 1/10th scale 2WD buggies. Vehicles may run any brushed or brushless motor.
4x4 Buggy4x4 Buggy is a single vehicle class without motor restrictions. This class is limited to 1/10th scale 4x4 buggies. Vehicles may run any brushed or brushless motor. If there are enough entries the class may be divided into separate stock and modified classes with stock vehicles limited to using 13.5 turn brushless motors or stock class brushed motors.
Stock TruckStock Truck is a multi vehicle class with motor restrictions. This class is limited to 1/10th scale 2WD ShortCourse trucks and stadium trucks. If there are enough entries the class may be divided in to separate classes for stadium trucks and ShortCourse trucks. Vehicles are limited to using 13.5 turn brushless motors or stock class brushed motors in stock truck and 13.5 turn brushless motors in ShortCourse.
Modified TruckModified truck is a multi vehicle class without motor restrictions. This class is limited to 1/10th scale 2WD ShortCourse trucks and stadium trucks. If there are enough entries, the class may be divided into separate classes for stadium trucks and ShortCourse trucks. Vehicles may run any brushed or brushless motors.
Short CourseShort Course is a single vehicle class without motor restrictions. This class is limited to 1/10th scale Shout Course trucks. 1/8th scale buggies are sometimes included in this class as well. Vehicles may run any brushed or brushless motor.
